Live and let live
Olivia Chen is a lecturer of Chinese, Asian Trade, the Co-Creative Enterprise project and the China Minor. Mrs Chen is also a study abroad advisor for Asia, and she has been a part of the Trade Management Asia programme since 2008.
On an evolving AMSIB, Mrs Chen says, “AMSIB has gone through changes in the past years. These changes, although not all the time smooth, are also the dynamics we AMSIB-ers embrace, and are challenges we accept, with the belief that AMSIB will become an even better International Business School.”
Business profile
Mrs. Chen originally comes from Shanghai. After working briefly for a trading company in the Netherlands, she spent years working in the trading and financial industries in Shanghai. She has set up the Shanghai representative offices, and prepared and opened Shanghai branches for both ABN AMRO Bank and Rabobank. She has experience in business development, office administration and banking/financial compliance in China, as well as in trade finance and corporate banking.
Educational profile
Mrs Chen has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Shanghai Foreign Trade University. She earned her MBA diploma at Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands. She is fluent in both Chinese and English.
