Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. - Mahatma Gandhi.

Habiba Khan joined the Amsterdam School of International Business in 2013 as a lecturer and a coach for the Co-Creative Entrepreneurship and Personal Development modules. Mrs Khan’s international experience in export-import, management consultancy and mentoring complements her multifaceted role.

Mrs Khan is currently a lecturer of Marketing Management, International Trade, and Personal Development at AMSIB. In addition to teaching, she is involved in the re-design of the current curriculum and thesis supervision.

Her outlook on education goes further than the curriculum. She believes that the students who are already flooded with information and knowledge need tools to make use of both in a focused manner. This involves coaching and guiding the students to a consciousness of who they are, where they are and where they are going. She firmly believes that the function of education is to teach one to think critically.

Mrs Khan originally comes from India. She worked as coordinator for a United Nation’s pilot project on eradicating violence against women in Uttar Pradesh, India. Later, she joined the corporate world (Mirza International) as an export manager. She has extensive experience in exports from India to Scandinavia, South Africa, the UK, and Germany. Acquiring ISO 9001 accreditations for companies and implementing ERP (enterprise resource planning) across various departments within companies also belongs to her field of expertise.

In The Netherlands, she works as a management consultant on various business projects. She combines this with lecturing at AMSIB.

Mrs Khan completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in India with honours in Botany. Having a family background in business (export house), she felt a strong urge to expand her horizons to international trade. This led her eventually earn a Master’s of International Business Management, specialising in International Trade. She is fluent in English, Dutch, Hindi and Urdu.
