1. Reflecting on your time at AMSIB, what experiences or lessons stand out as pivotal in shaping your career path
Looking back, my time at AMSIB was a pivotal period in my personal and professional growth. I chose the IBMS Fast-Track course, which was incredibly demanding, with a workload that required a level of focus and discipline I hadn’t experienced before. Adjusting to the intensity, while settling into a new city and building a life from scratch, was a challenge. But those early experiences taught me resilience and how to adapt quickly - skills I rely on to this day.

As an international student, I found Amsterdam to be the perfect place to study. The city’s rich history and global business scene created a dynamic environment that kept me inspired. The diversity of the student body and the rigorous curriculum shaped my ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds and approach problems creatively.

One class that stood out was Cross-Cultural Communication. It gave me a deeper understanding of how business operates globally, particularly beyond Europe. Those lessons have stayed with me and have been invaluable as I’ve navigated different markets and teams in my career.

2. How did your global exchange in Canada influence your perspective on business and international opportunities?
Deciding on a partner institution for my global exchange was one of the most exciting moments during my second year at AMSIB. I chose UQAM in Montreal, Canada, and looking back, it was a decision that truly shaped my perspective.

For me, it wasn’t just about studying in a new country - it was about stepping out of my comfort zone and broadening my horizons. I also figured that, at some point in my career, I’d likely work with or in North America, so getting first-hand insights and learning directly from business professionals at UQAM felt like a valuable way to prepare for the future.

What made the experience even better was the connection I’d already built with some UQAM students. They’d been on their exchange in Amsterdam just a semester before, and we’d become friends. Having those connections made the transition to Montreal so much easier, and they even helped me settle in. To this day, we still keep in touch, which is one of the amazing things about exchange programs - they don’t just give you academic experience; they give you lasting relationships and a network that spans the globe.

That semester didn’t just change how I viewed business; it gave me the confidence to approach international opportunities with an open mind and a stronger understanding of different perspectives. It’s an experience I’d recommend to anyone.

3. Did you always know you wanted to pursue business, or did your interest develop over time?
My interest in business didn’t start as a clear calling but developed over time. It began in my second-to-last year of high school when I realized that pursuing business could open up a broad range of career possibilities. It felt like the best foundation for growth and success, even if I wasn’t entirely sure what direction I’d take at the time.

During my studies, I discovered a genuine curiosity about management and strategy, but it was through real-world experiences - both the wins and the challenges - that my passion for business truly came to life. The mandatory internship in my final semester at AMSIB was a game-changer. It gave me the chance to work full-time in an established company, apply what I’d learned, and get a firsthand look at the inner workings of a professional environment. Don’t get me wrong - it wasn’t all fun and games. I sometimes struggled with the high level of responsibility, which included business trips, client pitches, and conference participation. However, those challenges ultimately helped me "grow up" and transition into a professional.

4. Being nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 is a huge achievement. How has this recognition impacted your career and personal life?
Thank you! Honestly, it still feels surreal at times – a real "Hey, look Ma, I made it" moment.

Being nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 has always been a personal goal for me, one I kept to myself for years, partly because I didn’t think I’d ever be considered for such a prestigious honor. However, seeing the stories of past honorees, like Jessica Chi from Fenty Skin and social entrepreneur Noah McQueen, inspired me. Their diverse journeys, full of successes and setbacks, showed me the power of perseverance, self-belief, and authenticity.

At the time of the nomination, I was leading the SMB Strategic Partnership Management Team for the German market at TikTok in Dublin. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping over 15.000 businesses overcome operational challenges, but I’ve also come to understand that personal growth is key to creating broader impact. Believing in yourself and staying true to your path is the ultimate key to success. As a leader, I aim to inspire others to take risks and pursue excellence.

One unexpected outcome has been being seen as a role model, especially within the LGBTQ+ community, which I’m deeply humbled by. I struggled with my identity as a gay man for too long, but I’ve learned the importance of embracing authenticity. I don't want to be successful as something that I am not. I believe we need more queer leaders, and I’m honoured to serve as one for anyone who needs support. My advice to current AMSIB students would be to stay true to themselves and take calculated-risks. You only need to believe in yourself. In 2025, I will attend the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit in Columbus, Ohio, to continue networking and create business opportunities with the world’s top young leaders, founders, and creators.

5. How do you stay motivated and focused, especially during difficult times or moments of doubt?
That's a good one. So, resilience for me comes from the reminder that I’m not just working toward my own goals, but also aiming to make a positive impact in the world, one step at a time. Little by little, I hope the things I do can contribute to change. In my journey, I’ve sought advice from mentors, therapists, and life coaches, and now I’m passionate about mentoring young individuals. I help them navigate that initial phase of uncertainty, clear the mental fog, and define their goals and motivations with clarity. I focus on breaking challenges into manageable steps, celebrating small victories along the way. Prioritizing mental health, seeking mentorship, and staying open to learning are practices that keep me grounded during tough times.

6. What advice would you give to current students or young entrepreneurs who aspire to build successful careers or businesses like yours?
Stay adaptable and stay true to yourself. Pursue your passions relentlessly and failure is not the end; it's a stepping stone to growth. Build strong networks, prioritize self-care, and never underestimate the power of authenticity in building meaningful connections. Embrace learning and don’t be afraid to take calculated risks.

7. Looking back at your career journey so far, is there any advice you wish you had received as a student at AMSIB?
I wish someone senior had stressed the importance of mental well-being and self-acceptance. Success is deeply tied to authenticity and balance, so embracing your true self while being open to seeking help when needed can make all the difference.

8. What are some hobbies or activities that help you stay grounded and energized outside of work?
Traveling helps me maintain perspective, while fitness and meditation provide a mental reset. Next on the list: El Salvador.
