dr. I. van Hille (Iteke)
ResearcherIteke van Hille works as a researcher at the Faculty of Business and Economics for two Research Groups: Entrepreneurship and Collaborative Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As a lecturer, she works at the Amsterdam School of International Business.
Van Hille focuses on multi-sector (public, private, and non-profit) collaboration for sustainability. More specifically, she studies the role of network orchestrators – or conveners – in organizing collaboration for sustainable transition. Most of her work focuses on sustainable development in the context of global supply chains or the circular transition. Recurring themes in her research include collaboration models, collaborative innovation, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable transition. She primarily uses qualitative research methods.
Van Hille has a background in social sciences, with a BSc in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam and a Research Master's in Social Research (track Organizational Sciences). After graduating, she worked for a few years at IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative, before pursuing her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (completed in 2020).
Her doctoral research focused on the role of conveners as initiators of cross-sector partnerships (CSPs) to enhance sustainable development in international trade chains.
