I lead a team of young programmers and data analysts at the Werkplaats Responsible IT. We imagine, design and build experimental software prototypes that are good for people, society and the planet.

> Design Practice
I built my first website in 1994 and spent my entire career as a creative in the internet industry. I have worked in lead- or senior-level UX, UI and VD positions, and managed multidisciplinary teams.

> Research Practice
After many years as a designer in the field, I still love to explore new ways to design with new technology. My research focuses on design methods and design patterns for interaction between humans and AI systems.

> Educational Practice
I develop, coordinate and teach undergraduate courses on design at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

> Startup practice
I cofounded two startups: the ride-sharing app Toogethr and the cloud platform WERKTOOLS. Both startups are still active under new ownership.
