Yvette graduated in 2010 at the University of Amsterdam as a sociologist. During her study she specialized in community care, and she wrote her thesis on the needs of informal caregivers in Amsterdam. Since September 2010, Yvette works as a researcher for the research group Community Care. She worked on several studies in the field of informal care, for example within the project Diversity and Informal Care. Additionally, Yvette works as a lecturer at the Social Pedagogic Care study of the AUAS. She teaches various research programs in all study years of the part-time version of the study.
