drs. M.L.M. van Hees (Marco)
After his academic studies at Dutch and Spanish universities, and some years of international travelling and working, Marco van Hees started his professional career at the strategic product marketing dept. in the high-tech industry (Philips/NXP). During the early years of the internet he moved to product management and new business development in digital media (Wolters-Kluwer/Intrabouw, Nozema/KPN broadcasting). Later, Marco van Hees worked as an international distribution manager at Tata Steel, where he combined his career with teaching young professionals at the University of Applied Sciences.
From 2010 Marco van Hees has worked at several Dutch universities and at the EVO/Fenedex trade organisation, introducing students and professionals into the dynamics of strategic marketing, supply chain management and sustainable business modelling. Currently he is also actively involved as a researcher in the HvA Urban Technology programmes, developing new innovative sustainable business models.
Van Hees has always combined his professional career with running a small business, experimenting with online media technology and sustainable business models. His latest project focusses on experimental business models and partnerships around beekeeping in both rural and urban environments. Interested? www.imkerschool.nl
According to Mr van Hees, his main personal goals are:
“- increasing my personal coaching/training skills in order to inspire others to make use of, and further develop, their personal talents
- connecting people from various cultural backgrounds and nationalities in order to develop new ideas and put international education/learning on an ever increasing higher level
- experimenting with multimedia and explore new learning methods
And thus:
- develop a more innovative, healthy and sustainable environment
- have fun, be inspired and learn from people and new surroundings
- stimulate and grow creative thinking, innovation, cooperation and common sense
- make information and concepts more transparent and applicable"
