Dr P.P. van Hemert (Patricia)
Programme Manager ResearchPatricia van Hemert works as institutional coordinator for the U!REKA University Alliance and is a senior researcher in the Entrepreneurship and Urban Economic Innovation Program at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The U!REKA University Alliance aims to develop joint research and education in the field of climate-neutral, circular and governance themes in a European context.
Patricia has a background in European studies began her academic career with a PhD at the Vrije Universiteit in Business/Managerial Economics. She worked as a researcher and funding advisor at both Erasmus University Rotterdam and Maastricht University. During that time she also gained extensive experience in research and management for EU Framework Program projects, and national clients such as the Municipality of Amsterdam and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
As program manager entrepreneurship research, Patricia is mainly concerned with the coordination of and cross-fertilization between research projects within the AUAS that focus entirely or partially on entrepreneurship, quintuple helix collaboration and internationalization.
