Maurice Pelt is lecturer-researcher and research data steward at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

His research and educational activities at the Faculty of Technology include data-driven smart maintenance, supply chain management and research data management. Recent research projects are:

  • AI for aircraft maintenance
  • ultrasonic verification of composite materials
  • predictive maintenance for large waste processing systems
  • business case development for a residual wood furniture factory using Industry 4.0 technologies

As a data steward for the Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Education, Maurice supervises and assesses research projects regarding the responsible use of data. This includes privacy, intellectual property, research IT systems and Open Science.

Maurice is a member of the Engineering examination committee.

Maurice graduated as a mechanical engineer (MSc) from Delft University of Technology and worked as supply chain consultant for Deloitte Consulting and Hoogovens (Tata Steel).
