Topics included the Doughnut Economy, the SDGs, broad economic prosperity, missions and post-growth.
Kate Raworth and Leonora Grcheva of Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) gave an introduction on Doughnut Economics and its application in cities. Ruurd Priester of the Amsterdam Donut Coalitie shared the Amsterdam approach: how do you build a community of pioneers and how can cities learn from their experiences?
Delegations from cities around the world committed to sustainability came together: the active doughnut cities 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗮, 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲 were there and concrete examples were presented from 𝗢𝗹𝘀𝗼 and 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗻. It brought many new insights, ideas and positive energy. Willem van Winden: 'We learned a lot from each other about how to apply the donut in concrete terms.'
