Jeroen Kluck is a Professor at the Climate Resilient City research group at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. With his research group, he investigates how to design cities in a way that ensures residents and businesses can continue to live, work, and spend time there comfortably in the future, considering climate change.

About Jeroen Kluck
Dr.ir. Jeroen Kluck has been Professor at the Climate Resilient City research group since 2008. With his research group, he investigates how cities can increase their resilience to climate change. The focus has shifted from stormwater flooding to urban heat, both indoor and outdoor. His research has resulted in widely applied design guidelines for heat resilience in the Netherlands. In recent years, urban drought has also become a major research focus.
Jeroen obtained his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, followed by a PhD in Stormwater Management. From 1996 to 2023, he worked as a researcher and consultant for the private consultancy firm TAUW.
