Corine Latour is a professor in Integrated Complex Care. She conducts practice-oriented research on care for people with complex mental, physical and/or social care issues. Focusing on prevention, technology, interprofessional cooperation, organisation of care and education for future care professionals.

About Corine Latour

Corine Latour obtained her degree in higher vocational nursing in 1989. She then worked in psychiatric institutions in Amsterdam. After the Continuing Education Nurse Specialist GGZ, Corine started working at the Psychiatric Consultative Service of the VU Medical Centre in 1991 and followed the Evidence Based Practice course at the University of Amsterdam.

In 2006, Corine received her PhD from Wim Stalman, professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, on 'Coordination of Care for the Complex Medically Ill'. Soon after, she became a lecturer in Nursing at the AUAS, where she was programme manager of Nursing and core lecturer from 2015 to 2024.

Since August 2024, Corine focuses entirely on her role as professor of Integrated Complex Care, while she remains attached one day a week to the Bachelor's programme Nursing and the Master's programme GGZ Nursing to ensure the impact of research in education. She is also a board member of the Center of Expertise Urban Vitality at the AUAS.
