About Sabine Niederer
Sabine Niederer is Professor of Visual Methodologies at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on developing visual methods to explore urgent societal themes like sustainability and climate change, often through participatory and practice-based approaches. She co-founded the Citizen Data Lab, coordinates the Digital Methods Initiative at the University of Amsterdam, and manages the ARIAS platform for arts and academic research. Her projects include Climate Futures, exploring climate fiction and AI, and various interdisciplinary collaborations like EMPOWER 2.0. Sabine also teaches issue mapping at AMFI and supervises MA theses in Fashion Enterprise Creation.
