About Margriet Pol

Margriet Pol is associate professor in Technology and Participation, affiliated with the Occupational Therapy – Participation and the Environment research group. She also teaches at the Bachelor's degree programme in Occupational Therapy and the European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy as senior lecturer in Research.

As associate professor, Margriet is responsible for the research line Technology and Participation. This line focuses on rehabilitation, eHealth and technology. Here, the focus is on supporting and enabling daily activities in one's own environment and participation in social life. She is also involved in research and educational projects within the AUAS living lab GRZ-plus.

Previously, Margriet worked as an occupational therapist at various healthcare organisations. In 2015, she completed her Master's degree in Social Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam (specialisation Social Gerontology). In 2019 she obtained her PhD on research into sensor technology in the daily functioning of elderly people living independently.
