ECSB European Entrepreneurship Education Conference

The 3E Conference (ECSB European Entrepreneurship Education Conference) has been the leading conference for those interested in entrepreneurship education for many years. This year, the conference was organized by the Entrepreneurship Research Group, in collaboration with VU.
Playful Space for Meaningful Discussions
The open, playful atmosphere was particularly appreciated by the participants, leading to meaningful discussions and valuable connections. For three days, attendees could join plenary sessions, Professional Development Workshops (PDWs), and presentations of research papers on various themes within entrepreneurship education.
- The plenary sessions emphasized active-learning pedagogical approaches and the development of playful, responsible, and impactful educational models.
- The workshops covered topics such as the evolving skills of students, teamwork, AI in the classroom, and the role of the entrepreneurial teacher.
- The paper presentations ranged from the personal development of student entrepreneurs to coaching, emotions, well-being, and female entrepreneurship.
Thoughtful and Creative Organization
In addition to inspiring, content-rich sessions, the conference had a creative approach. Highlights included:
- Networking opportunities: Each day began with a sports activity such as boxing, yoga, or dancing, which enhanced informal networking opportunities.
- Creative elements: Students handed out compliment cards, and there were city walks that intertwined the history of Amsterdam with entrepreneurship themes.
- Healthy and vegetarian food: This was particularly appreciated by the participants.
- Polaroid Reporters: They captured moments and stories, documenting the unique atmosphere of the event.
European Entrepreneurship Education Award
A special moment was the honoring of Francisco Liñán, the winner of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award, for his contribution to the impact of entrepreneurship in higher education.
International Appeal
The unique setup and approach of the 3E Conference created an inspired and joyful feeling among the participants, making the trip very worthwhile for international visitors from many European countries, as well as from Australia, Brazil, and Japan. The combination of creativity, community spirit, and connectedness made the 3E Conference 2024 a remarkable event in entrepreneurship education.
