INVITATION WORKSHOP SPACE IN BETWEEN

How can we tell our stories through art? And how can those stories bring about change in our society?

JOIN US!

The peerless work of artist Margarita Cabrera has been shown in museums worldwide. Next week you can join Modestraat for a unique series of workshops, in which you can collaborate with her to create new pieces!

This special series of workshops is part of Space in Between - a collaborative art project exploring shared (colonial) histories, stories of migration, and cultural connection. In a group, we will work on new works inspired by traditional sewing and embroidery techniques from all over the world.

We are especially looking for people who are interested in migration, and/or have a migration background themselves. You do not need to have any prior knowledge of art or making textile works.

The workshops will take place between 10 and 16 April. It is best to participate in as many sessions as possible, so that you can make the artwork your own from start to finish. Register now by emailing fashion.research@hva.nl!
