Research and Development

The practice-based research at our Centre for Applied Research contributes to innovations in the professional sector. Lecturers and researchers develop digital applications and models, and research the influence of digital media and technology on society and the city. Digitalisation has a huge impact on all aspects of daily life. Seven research labs have the following specialisations: Crossmedia, Digital Life, Fashion Research and Technology, Network Cultures, Civic Interaction Design, Urban Analytics and Visual Methodologies. The common thread of all the activities is citizen empowerment.
