Drs. Leontine Born is Research and Education Coordinator at the Digital Life Center research group of the Create-IT Knowledge Center.

Specialization

As coordinator, she supports all Digital Life research colleagues with matters related to marketing, PR and communication. That can be by writing a current news item for on the website, organizing a closing seminar for a research project or posting a publication online. She also thinks along with socially relevant themes and developments that are worthy of research, plus the retention and tapping of consortium partners. In addition, her job involves connecting research and education to ensure that the entire chain, from student to practice (through education and research), fits in well with each other.

Motivation

A coordinating, organizational role as a spider in the web suits her perfectly. With her commercial background, she also finds it interesting to better promote the research of Digital Life through various channels, both internally and externally. She personally likes the themes of her research group very much: digitization in combination with care, health and well-being. Since health is a great asset in her eyes and certainly not a matter of course, she is happy to contribute to this.

Education

Leontine Born graduated in 1995 from the University of Groningen in Business Administration.

Previous activities

From 1998 to 2017, Leontine Born was a program developer at Focus Conferences where she was responsible for the substantive design and organization of management training on many current management themes.
