M. van Rijn (Marjon) PhD
Professor | senior lecturerMarjon van Rijn is professor at the University Network for Elderly Care Amsterdam (UNO Amsterdam), a collaboration between 23 elderly care organisations and the Amsterdam UMC, Department of Geriatric Medicine. Additionally, she works for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) as a senior lecturer in Research within the Higher Professional Nursing programme and as a theme coordinator for Intensive Complex Care, which is part of the Centre of Expertise Urban Vitality (CoE UV).
Marjon graduated in Nursing from the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, after which she pursued a Master’s degree in Health Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In 2017, she completed her PhD on the FIT study, a research project on the effects of multifactorial care for elderly people living at home, coordinated by a community nurse.
