Role of Images in Digital Culture Examined

The Visual Methodologies Collective develops visual methods for practice-based research on social issues and debates. The research group studies, among other things, the role of images in digital culture. One example is research into the visual culture surrounding climate change.

Sabine Niederer

Professor Visual Methodologies collective

Dr. Sabine Niederer is Professor of Visual Methodologies at the Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries (FDMCI) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She is also coordinator of the Digital Methods Initiative, the media PhD program within Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In addition, she is program manager at ARIAS, a research platform that connects academic and artistic research.
