Nominate a project for the Open Science Community Amsterdam Awards 2024! You can nominate yourself and others. Submit your project before May 16.
Open Science is an international movement that makes scientific knowledge openly available, accessible and reusable for everyone. The OSCAwards celebrate the many ways of contributing to open science and transparent research culture. Researchers, educators, support staff and students are invited to submit case studies describing their completed or ongoing projects, contributions by teams are particularly encouraged.
Categories and evaluation criteria
There are eight prizes of €400,- in four different categories of Open Science. The categories are:
- Open Access / Open Data / Open Materials / Open Software
- Transparency / Metascience / Preregistration / Reproducibility
- Citizen Science / Societal Impact / Community Engagement
- Open Educational Resources / Open Educational Practices
The jury will judge entries based on their adherence to the following criteria :
- The project’s fit within the specified category
- The quality of the application
- The alignment of the project with open science values
- The project’s potential and implementation of knowledge exchange
Important dates
- Submission deadline: May 16, 16:00
- Award ceremony: June 10, SPUI25, Amsterdam
About OSCA
The OSCAwards are an initiative of the Open Science Community Amsterdam (OSCA). OSCA is a partnership between the AUAS, UvA, VU, and the Student Initiative for Open Science (SIOS). OSCA is part of the larger Open Science Community Network the Netherlands (OSC-NL). The goal of the Open Science Community is to create a platform for researchers and students from all institutes and faculties to interact and learn from each other about Open Science practices.
