AUAS Library
Workshops and training
Want to become more skilled in finding information, dealing with GenAI, recognizing disinformation or knowing how open learning materials can be used in education? These topics are discussed in the workshops that the AUAS Library offers to students, teachers or researchers.
Recurring workshops
Recurring workshops are offered regularly and are listed on the pages intended for students or employees.
Workshops on request
The workshops can also be specially scheduled for groups of students or teachers/researchers and tailor-made as desired. Content, place and time are determined in consultation between the teacher and the Library. Are you interested?
Online courses for students
Do you want to use online courses and videos to help your students become more information literate? That's possible! The Library offers the following e-learning courses: Searchlight (information skills), Citing Sources, Doing Research and Data Detox. There are also a large number of knowledge clips on various sub-topics of information skills.
Workshops as part of the curriculum
Could your students' information skills use a boost? Library information specialists offer group training courses that are tailored to the needs of the course and the student. Topics, level, place and time are determined in consultation between the teacher and the Library. Agreements can also be made about a structure during the study period (learning track) and the use of online learning resources via Brightspace. Would you like to discuss further and discuss the possibilities?
Library Academy – three-day workshop event
Teachers and educational support staff are introduced to the possibilities of enriching their education with digital media, artificial intelligence (AI) and open learning materials. Participate in workshops at the UvA, AUAS and VU and meet your colleagues from higher education in Amsterdam. This event takes place annually at the end of January.
HvA Academy
Many more workshops and training courses are offered within the AUAS, specifically for AUAS employees and the joint services of the UvA and AUAS.
