AUAS Master's degree programs rated highly in the 2025 options guide
27 March 2025

The options guide for Master’s degree programmes (Keuzegids Masters) for 2025, which was published today, rates six AUAS Master’s degree programmes particularly highly. The guide compares 19 of the 24 AUAS Master’s degree programmes with the national average.
The European MSc in Occupational Therapy has been the highest-rated AUAS Master’s degree programme for a number of years now. It is also rated well above the national average. Students particularly appreciate the content, lecturers, assessments and atmosphere. The Master’s degree programmes in Teacher Education in History and Social Work were also rated highly once more.
New additions to the AUAS Master’s degree programmes that have been rated well above the national average are Mental Health Care, Teacher Education in French and the relatively new Climate Psychology and Behaviour. The Master’s degree programme in Teacher Education in French stands out because of the highest student rating it has been given for career preparation.
Student ratings for the majority of the other AUAS Master’s degree programmes are approximately the same as the national average.
Equivalent to university Master’s degree programmes
The AUAS is offering 24 practice-oriented Master’s degree programmes in the current academic year*. These programmes are aimed at both working students and students who have graduated from universities of applied sciences or research universities. AUAS Master’s degree programmes are equivalent to university Master’s degree programmes (level 7) and distinguish themselves by the fact that the applied research conducted can be applied immediately in professional practice. As such, Master’s students at the AUAS contribute to innovations for societal challenges like the energy transition, ageing and artificial intelligence.
More information about the options guide for Master’s degree programmes
Amongst other things, the options guide for Master’s degree programmes provides an insight into labour market figures, intake figures, the percentage of international students who enrol and student ratings on five specific themes from the National Student Survey (NSE). These themes are content, lecturers, assessments, career preparation and atmosphere. Whereas the NSE shows absolute scores, the options guide for Master’s degree programmes compares individual programmes with the national average. A + means that a programme is rated above average, while a - means that it is rated below average.
