ing. S.R. Gardt (Sersinho)
ResearcherSersinho’s specialization is Aviation Security & Technology. The legal, technical and operational aspects of aviation security – from threat to solution – are what he’s drawn to. Looking at process optimization from all perspectives involved in aviation security.
Within project BrightSky Sersinho focuses on the use of next generation security devices in the airport operations, especially the passenger and baggage handling process. His specific contribution is researching the requirements and limitations of implementing new devices in the daily operations at airports.
Motivatie
The feeling of security whilst traveling. Not needing to worry if harm will come to you on your journey as a passenger. Making sure those who wish to do harm are prevented from disrupting this passenger journey. Creating a service around the security process that guarantees quality of security, but also caters to the wishes and expectations of the various passenger types.

Sersinho has worked in Aviation Security consultancy for 7 years, participating in development and optimization projects worldwide. During this time two things he enjoyed most are: 1) How cool the technological advancement in security screening devices can be. And even with something so regulated as aviation security. 2) The different cultures and people that are part of the industry each have a unique perspective on importance. Being able to experience this variety firsthand was a delight.
