Dr M. de Groot (Maurik)
Researcher and Lecturer Sales- and MarketingMaurik de Groot teaches Sales & Marketing in the Commercial Economics program at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
He studied at the Higher Hotel School and did a master's degree in Business Administration at the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam. Since 2023, Maurik has completed a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA). In his doctoral research at the Business School Lausanne, he investigated the sales role of entrepreneurs in relation to business failure.
As a teacher, he is designing inspiring sales courses and trainings in sales and marketing. He supervises students in projects, internships and thesis writing. Prior to teaching, Maurik worked a decade in sales and account management positions in the insurance industry. In addition to teaching, Maurik is an entrepreneur (Bron Training & Advies) in training and coaching for growing companies and SMEs.
