Gieta has been working for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since 2009. She describes her work as dynamic and fun. She thinks it is great to work in an environment with so much creativity and innovation. Gieta is the secretary for the research programmes Forensic Science, Aviation and Circulair Design and Innovation. In addition she is also the secretary to the Centre of Expertise City Net Zero. Before she started working at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, she worked for different companies as NWO in The Hague, Citco in Amsterdam, and the Municipality.
