Denise Simons-Dix joined the Amsterdam School of International Business in 2012 in order to give full focus on the practical experience of students in their final year. Her own experience in living abroad, working in finance and commerce, and her broad field of interests, made her an enthusiastic contact person for students, lecturers and the business field.
In modern society the world has become your back yard and Mrs Simons-Dix is proud to see how today's AMSIB students grasp great opportunities abroad, become young professionals, and are successful in bridging intercultural differences privately and in business. She is pleased to be part of the Amsterdam School of International Business, and to positively contribute toward putting AMSIB on the world map.
Business profile
Before joining the Amsterdam School of International Business, Mrs Simons-Dix worked as a Financial Advisor at ING, and as the Coordinator of Product Development and Procurement at the head office of D-Reizen. Her experience, travelling and living in Switzerland, made her realize that she loves working in internationally focused organizations that have a strong customer focus and a good balance between commerce and services. She strives for clear policy, supported by solid processes and systems.
Mrs Simons-Dix has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Marketing, specialised in Leisure Management, and she holds her independent entrepreneurship for Hotel, Catering and Hospitality. Additionally, she achieved the full version certificates for financial advice of the Dutch Law Financial Supervision (Wft) successfully. Dutch is her mother tongue, but she also speaks English and German, and has a good understanding of French.
