Subject librarian Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Therapy, Interprofessional Allied Health CareEsther works for the Faculty of Health since 2000 as an information specialist, specifically supporting students, faculty and researchers in the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and ESP programmes. She specialises in searching PubMed. She can help with all kinds of questions around literature search such as selecting the right sources/databases and explaining them, checking search terms and search strings (together) and helping with retrieval of full text articles.
As an library's information specialist Esther is an expert in the field of literature review. She:
- gives personal advice on finding and storing reliable information on a specific subject;
- gives introductions, workshops and training courses in literature research;
- puts together the library collection for a course, via a collection development profile;
- reviews incoming acquisition suggestions in the areas of databases, books, periodicals and audio-visual resources
