Selection process academic year 2025-2026 

You can apply for the programme in Studielink between 1 October 2024 and 15 January 2025. You will receive a welcome e-mail from AUAS within 48 hours of registration. Following your registration request, you will receive more information about the content of the assignment. Within two weeks of your registration in Studielink, you must hand in the assignment. If any questions remain after reviewing your assignment, you may be invited for an online interview between 15-01-2025 and 15-03-2025. If you are invited for an interview, you will receive more information from the AMFI Student Desk.

The Process

The selection process consists of an assignment and a possible online motivation interview with a teacher and a student from AMFI based upon the review of your assignment.

The Assignment

• a 5-to-10-page document, supporting your choice of preferred specialization (Management, Branding, or Design). You will receive more information after you have made an application.
• a personal motivation video
• an online form

We advise you to attend an open day, online or in person, to get a better impression of AMFI.

Selection criteria

AMFI Criteria

• Candidate is sufficiently/well prepared.
• Candidate has a clear understanding of the AMFI curriculum and future professional possibilities.
• Candidate has a strong interest in the fashion industry in its broad sense.
• Candidate shows an open attitude and engagement in current cultural and social topics.
• Candidate shows creativity, originality, and attention to detail in executing the assignments.
• Candidate’s motivation is clear and committed (spoken/written).
• Candidate shows visual literacy through a visual representation that underpins their motivation (film or images).
• Candidate shows the ability for self-reflection. 

Selection result and ranking number

After submitting your assignment, your work will be reviewed. You may then be asked to attend an online interview If we are uncertain about your fit with the AMFI programme. Each prospective student who completes the process will receive a ranking number on April 15th through Studielink.

The average assessment based upon the selection criteria will decide your place in the ranking. Your chance of being offered a place at AMFI will depend on the number of available places and the number of students who participated in the assessment procedure. If your ranking number falls within the maximum number of places, you will also receive a placement certificate through Studielink. You must accept your placement certificate through Studielink within two weeks.

Please note: Separate to the selection process for the AMFI programmme you also have to meet the admission requirements for the University. Do not forget also to look out for messages regarding the admission process. Please note that mails from the AUAS could end up in your spam box. Make sure to check your spam box regularly.
