Programme structure

Interaction Design is centred around three Playgrounds: Emerging Ecologies, Emerging Interactions, and Emerging Futures. These are design-related content bubbles that you can explore through your team project. You will be equally immersed in related-learning tracks that address ethics, research, process, and making. You are also expected to develop an individual study plan, which will be considered in your assessments. You will work with a mix of research groups, industry partners and design agencies that provide you with guidance and support throughout the year.

Makers, it's time to be Leaders!
Semester 1

During the first period of the year, we look at our shared values and align our working method and diverse skill sets. The first weeks provide foundational knowledge in a variety of design related fields. You get acquainted with the programme’s competences and the expectations regarding your individual study plan. You also work on your first two team projects, where you benefit from coaching from design agencies, researchers, and lecturers. This semester concludes with the mid-term assessments.

Semester 2

In the second semester you will be focussed on a major third team project. You will continue enjoying masterclasses and workshops by partnering design agencies and experts in different design-related fields. Final assessments will conclude your studies. At the end of the year, you will enjoy a celebration of your hard work with an exhibition of some of the best work you produced during the programme. The event includes a dinner attended by partners, industry liaisons, alumni of the programme, and students.
