DigiD

You can submit your application for the Master’s programme via Studielink with a DigiD:

• Applicants in the Netherlands: A DigiD is required. 
• Applicants outside the Netherlands: Apply without a DigiD (see Studielink website for further instructions(opens in new window)).

RIO name and code

For your application in Studielink you need the RIO name and code of the Master Sport Business & Leadership:

Application procedure and timeline 

• Check the admission requirements. 
• Register via Studielink before 18 June 2025. You will receive an automatic confirmation email.  
• Once registered in Studielink before the 18 June 2025, we will email you the upload instructions. 
• Upload your application portfolio between 1 April and 25 June 2025 at the latest which must include: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (if not yet completed, include expected completion date).  
  • CV/Resume highlighting relevant sport industry experience.  
  • Recommendations by lecturers and/or employers.
  • List of subjects and grades + brief explanation of main courses (max. 300 words).  
  • Summary of thesis/graduation project (max. 250 words).  
  • Motivation video of 1 minute (include link to internet page i.e. YouTube).  
  • Consulting assignment proposal, max. 1 page (including 2 organisations, contacts and an explanation of your 2 choices).  
  • IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (C1 level) – see admission requirements. 
• 26 - 27 June 2025: We will assess your application. The assessment is based on the uploaded portfolio including: 
  • Formal requirements:  
    • Bachelor’s degree specifically Sportkunde (Sport Studies), Sport Management, Sport Business or Sport Marketing.
    • C1-level English proficiency. 
  • Additional criteria:  
    • Relevant Dutch and international sport industry experience and network. 
    • Evident leadership potential and motivation for a career in sport business. 
• By 2 July 2025: you will receive the assessment results via email. Possible outcomes: 
  • a) Direct admission
  • b) Provisional admission (pending degree or English certificate)
  • c) Rejection
