Sport Studies - track ISMB Admission

Admission requirements

To be admitted to Sport Studies - track ISMB you need to have completed secondary education equivalent to the Dutch HAVO, VWO or MBO-4 level and have strong written and verbal English communications skills. Due to the limited number of study places, a selection is part of the admission procedure.

Credential evaluation

If you attended school outside the Netherlands, you will be required to send your diploma and academic records to the admissions office when you apply for Sport Studies - track ISMB.

English language requirements

Sport Studies is taught entirely in English. Therefore, you will need to have strong written and verbal English communications skills.

If you have completed secondary or post-secondary education at an accredited institution where English was the language of instruction, you will not need to provide proof of your English proficiency for more than 5 years. Otherwise, you will be required to provide academic proof of your English level.

To provide academic proof of your English level you will need to submit:

Your academic IELTS or TOEFL test scores, from a test completed within the past 12 months.
For IELTS: a score of 6.0 or higher.
For TOEFL: a minimum score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based)
None of the sub-scores may be lower than 6 (IELTS) or 20 (TOEFL).

Sport Medical Examination

Before you start the programme you need to have passed a sport medical examination at an independent organisation of sport medical professionals in the Netherlands.
