Emerging Technology for Business
About the research group
The aim of the research group is to provide businesses and education with applied knowledge regarding the adoption, use, and impact of emerging digital technologies.
The research group focuses primarily on potentially disruptive technological innovations, such as smart devices, service/social robotics, augmented/virtual reality, biometrics, and conversational interfaces.
The research group adopts an information science perspective, which implies that the focus of the research is directed at the technologies themselves, taking into account the adoption, use, (further) development, and the consequences of using these technologies for businesses. Within the business administration domain, special attention is given to the marketing effects of the deployment of emerging digital technologies.
Collaboration
The research group works closely with small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly from the retail and technology sectors, as well as industry organisations. It also has strong ties with universities and other universities of applied sciences. Companies and other institutions can approach the research group for research and advice on emerging digital technologies.
