Better functioning with joint problems

In Amsterdam, one-third of the population has multiple conditions, including chronic joint problems. The Interdisciplinary Care for Chronic Joint Disorders research group investigates how these conditions impact daily functioning. People with polyarthritis and osteoarthritis often also face high cholesterol, psychosocial challenges, and unhealthy lifestyles. The research group focuses on innovation and collaboration among healthcare professionals to better support these patients.

What we do

Handboek 'Osteoarthritis Health Professional Training'

In dit handboek verkennen onderzoekers de theoretische concepten en belangrijke evidence-based aanbevelingen voor het leveren van zorg aan mensen met artrose. In hoofdstuk 10 beschrijft lector Martin van der Esch samen met collega's de overwegingen en strategieën die zorgprofessionals kunnen gebruiken om deze zorg succesvol in hun dagelijkse praktijk te leveren.
