What profiles does this studio offer?
At Social Impact Apps, you design and build serious web and native apps for projects with a positive impact. You work on assignments from both small and large organizations, for-profit and non-profit, nationally and internationally, but always with a clear purpose.
We collaborate with leading tech companies and form diverse project teams. To get started, we begin with an energetic booster program, so you'll be up to speed in no time!
You work with external clients on projects that have a societal impact, such as:
- An app to measure stress in people dealing with financial worries,
- Helping the police experience what a psychosis is,
- Making apps accessible for people with disabilities, and
- Online tutoring tools for students on a tight budget.
Often, a (web) app will be built or improved after the analysis, advice, and design phases have been completed, and the application will need to be hosted, maintained, and managed. You may also be asked to apply innovative technologies, such as AI, serious gaming, or VR. It is important to approach the work with an open mind and sometimes seek collaboration with other studios and programs.

Circular Medical Devices for Africa
Develop an app for Layco, a foundation focused on affordable, circular medical devices for Africa.
Solution for Chronically Ill Children
We contribute to social initiatives such as KPN's Contact Fund, which developed a solution for children with a chronic illness to still participate in online lessons.
