Oplus

in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam

Project

Oplus is a collaborative platform of ROC Amsterdam-Flevoland, AUAS, Stichting ZZP Nederland, and the Municipality of Amsterdam. The platform aims to support entrepreneurs in the Amsterdam metropolitan region by making them more resilient.

The Oplus platform focuses on three pillars: Meeting, Training, and Research, with the Research pillar being housed at the AUAS.

Research by the Entrepreneurship Research Group

Within the Research pillar, the focus is on how professionals can be better supported in their lifelong development and improvement of entrepreneurial skills. Questions include: How do we develop a shared vocabulary for entrepreneurial skills? How do we connect with the practical world? Through which networks do entrepreneurs seek new knowledge? How do we make resources accessible and attractive for entrepreneurs to actively participate?

Platform Onderneemvaardig The digital platform www.onderneemvaardig.nl facilitates the emerging network. Here, entrepreneurs can find each other and learn from one another. An extensive range of educational and developmental resources for entrepreneurs is already available on the platform. The knowledge, tools, and articles provided guide towards a future as an entrepreneur or help with a transition to paid employment.

Students from the AUAS support (aspiring) entrepreneurs in setting up, executing, and professionalizing their businesses. The goal of involving students is twofold. Entrepreneurs are assisted in making their businesses more agile for the future, such as attracting more customers. Additionally, students can apply their knowledge and skills and gain practical experience.
