Honours Aviation Management

This programme broadens your perspective on aviation management and helps you better understand airline business models, infrastructure, airspace and societal conditions. The knowledge that is needed to tackle the increasing capacity challenges that aviation is expected to face as it continues to grow in the decades ahead. Programme Outline

  • Credits: 30 ECTS (one semester) or 60 credits (full academic year)
  • Format: lectures, workshops, conference organisation
  • Term: autumn semester (beginning of September-end of January) or full academic year (September-July). You can apply to do an exchange for the winter semester or the full academic year, not for the spring semester only. If you opt for the full year, your research project may satisfy your home institution’s final project/thesis requirements
  • Course completion certificate: you receive a certificate providing proof of your excellence to future employers

Important dates:

Autumn semester

  • Mandatory introduction & kick-off Wed. 1st September 2021
  • Start programme Mon. 6th September 2021
  • End programme Fri. 4th February 2022

Attention: The programme end is scheduled outside of the arranged housing possibilities, you will have to arrange your own housing for the remaining days.

Since you will be working closely together with other students in the programme, and since all courses are inter-related, please note that you will be required to take all of the above-mentioned courses. It is not possible to opt for a sub-selection of courses.

Notes:

If you are accepted by AUAS Aviation Academy, you will be required to submit your learning agreement. Please note that:

  • your Learning Agreement should have a signature from your home institution; and that
  • you should mention the course names, component codes and amount of ECTS on the Learning Agreement, according to the table provided above under ‘course details’.
