General data protection regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR imposes stricter requirements on organisations with respect to the processing of personal data and the accountability for such data. At the AUAS, this includes personal data of students, employees, alumni and research participants.
The AUAS processes personal data in various locations and is highly committed to handling and processing this data with due care in order to act in full compliance with the GDPR. Processing is also a broad term.

All AUAS employees will have to deal with this to a greater or lesser extent. Lecturers process data such as academic results and may even collect data themselves, support staff often process student and employee details, and researchers work with personal data of respondents.
Students can also process personal data, for example in the context of research for graduation projects.
