Application, admission and assessment!
Are you a student working on an idea for a creative solution or sustainable innovation? Do you want to turn this idea into a startup that makes a real impact? Then 10K is for you!?
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION
To apply for a spot in the next generation of 10K, you need to do the following things:
1. Check the criteria.
2. Fill in the application form via this link.
If you qualify, you will be invited for an introductory chat.
3. If after the chat you decide that 10K would be something for you, you download the 10K Application Deck at the bottom of this page. Would you like to increase your chances of admission? Then keep in touch with Carmen Been for any feedback on the application deck.
4. You submit the final version of your Application Deck by sending it to 10k@hva.nl.
5. To confirm that we received your application deck, you will receive an email from us.
6. The deck will go to our admissions committee. They will determine whether you might be a fit with our programme.
7. You will receive feedback from us telling you whether you have been accepted into the 10K Programme or not.
Are you in doubt whether 10K is something for you or whether your idea is suitable for 10K? We can discuss this during the introductory chat that is scheduled after you initially apply via the application form.
Admission & assessment
In our incubator, we have room for only 8 to 12 startups. Hence, we have a strict selection procedure. All Application Decks are assessed by our three-member admissions committee using a traffic light system. Each slide (excluding slide 'name startup') is marked red/orange/green and additional feedback is given by the admissions committee. With predominantly green, you are admitted to the programme, with predominantly orange, an additional interview will take place and with predominantly red, we unfortunately cannot admit the startup. The feedback given by the committee will be shared with the entrepreneurs in all cases.
Please note that at both green and orange, we may impose additional requirements as part of the admission process. For example, you may need to further develop parts of your startup or build an initial prototype before the programme starts, in order to be eligible for admission to 10K.
Finally, you can only submit 1 idea per semester!
