Talking about sexuality with clients
Dealing with sexuality (in a broad definition) shows to be very difficult, because of many things: certainly the taboo on sexuality is important, but also the very personal aspect of sexuality, the many prejudices, the context within which professionals have to work, … As a professional you need tools to be able to have a good conversation about sexuality. You also need “courage” to have an open, transparent and normative stance.
Emotions in our interventions
The aim of this exercise is to make transparent the way feelings may influence our reactions when confronted with a story of (possible) sexual abuse or offending behaviour.

The function of this task, is to discover how awkward it can be for many people (and thus also for clients in care) to buy condoms. The task is made more difficult by adding a coming-out element: you will not buy an ordinary condom, but condoms for anal sex.
